Here is a poem I made for school (grade 7). We had to pick a colour and then use this outline. After we entered them in a contest and some of us (including me) got our poem published in a book.


Green Is...


Green is a silky leaf high on a tree
Green is a shield of leaves from the hot sun
Green is a quilt of grass covering the earth
Green is a post on the side of the road towering above you
Green tastes like a mint candy melting in your mouth
Green is what you smell when you wake up on Christmas morning
Green sounds like leaves rustling in a summer's breeze
Green feels like moss, a squishy sponge
Green looks like a Christmas tree covered with beautiful decorations
Green makes me feel all warm inside
Green is the colour that identifies land on a map of the world
